Reading Room

Reading Room

Located on the church property and open daily, the Reading Room is both a community bookstore and a spiritual resource center.  It offers an extensive variety of products that you can browse, borrow, purchase, study, and access online.

Our Reading Room is located at the church at 566 W Palmetto Park Rd, Boca Raton, FL  33432.  We are open Monday-Saturday from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm and after church services.  Our phone number is  (561) 395-3815.

In the Reading Room you will find Bible study reference books, biographies of Mary Baker Eddy, periodicals which explain the healing practice of Christian Science, weekly Bible lessons, inspirational recordings and so much more.

Visitors often read the award-winning newspaper, The Christian Science Monitor, use our databases for further spiritual study and go on-line for other materials about the power and presence of God in our daily lives.

Many books, periodicals and other media are available for sale (to keep or to give as gifts), to borrow from our lending library or to sit quietly and read.

Please visit our Publications page to explore a variety of on-line resources for spiritual study and for information about Christian Science.  Also, you are welcome to come into the Reading Room to browse, read and stay awhile.

Church Services

Church Services

We are a branch of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston and one of thousands of branch churches worldwide in 80 countries.

We offer two weekly services.  Our Sunday service is from 10:30 am to 11:30 am and our Wednesday evening service is from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm.  The Sunday service is based on the weekly Bible Lessons and includes readings from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, hymns and a solo.

The Wednesday evening testimony meeting includes readings from the Bible and Science and Health that speak to current issues or needs in the community or the world.  Following the reading, those in attendance may voluntarily stand and give gratitude for experiences of spiritual healing or insight gained from the study of Christian Science. Child care for all services is provided free of charge, under the care and supervision of experienced adults.

Sunday School

Sunday School

All children and young adults up to the age of 20 are welcome in our Christian Science Sunday School.

Sunday School service is held during the same hour as our Sunday church service, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.

Loving childcare is provided for youngsters too young to sit through a regular Sunday School or Sunday service.  Parents do not need to be members or even attendees of the church for their children to participate in this valuable spiritual education.

Sunday School students learn stories from the Bible, lessons of Christ Jesus’ healing ministry and of God’s unconditional love for each one of us.  Students are encouraged to discuss events in their daily lives and how challenges can be transformed into blessings through God’s love.
